When you meet Steve you will find him to be a true professional who, not only has a wealth of sales experience, but is full of life’s experiences as well. The principles he lives and works by are trust, integrity, honesty and strict confidentiality whilst delivering great customer service.
He has lived in this region for most of his life, is pretty well known and knows the area well.
On leaving School Steve joined NZ Customs and reached the rank of Supervising Customs Officer responsible for an Investigation Unit. He worked predominantly in Christchurch and Dunedin but also did specialist investigation work all over NZ.
He met his wife Glenys in Dunedin and after resigning from Customs they moved to Nelson where they opened and operated Caltex Bishopdale in Waimea Road for 12 years. When they sold that business they were involved in a number of other business ventures, the last one being Jaycar Electronics in Hardy Street, Nelson which Steve set up with a business partner.
All the positions Steve has held have involved having excellent communication and negotiation skills as well as providing the trust, honesty and integrity that customers deserve and expect. Steve believes that to be a great sales person you need to be a great listener.
For the past 4 years Steve has been involved in the motor vehicle industry as a successful sales consultant. He has now turned his sales experience to his other passion, Real Estate. He and his wife Glenys have had many houses in Nelson from townhouses to lifestyle properties. He chose to join Ray White in Richmond because they have a great team of professional sales people who have the same high standards and ethics that Steve takes pride in himself.
Family wise Steve & his wife have three children, now all grown up. A son and daughter in law and two grandchildren living in Sydney, a daughter and son in law and two grand children living in London and a son living in Auckland.
