162 Hebberds Road Rai Valley, Marlborough District

Offers over $399,000 considered + GST if any.
Perched at the head of a valley just 5 minutes drive from Rai Valley School is a secluded 15 Ha paradise that is off the grid. No more power bills with a pelton wheel, solar panels, new storage batteries/invertor and a petrol generator.
This cosy home, with timber themes, is warmed by a new wood burner on wet-back and the kitchen includes a modern gas oven and an island bench with storage. There are three double bedrooms, one having a ranch slider out to the deck area, a separate laundry and single garage/workshop. The home is set in a quaint country garden and with the pines gone, gets all day sun. You can relax watching the wood pigeons, listening to the tui's or just gazing down this beautiful valley. Paradise ducks and pukekos wander in the grasslands and there are tame eels in the stream.
There are 2.5 Ha of paddocks for your kids ponies, 7.5 Ha of cleared forestry that could be returned to grazing, with the balance in manuka scrub and a small selection of native. There's also a 5 bay shed in the paddock, to park your toys and a private swimming hole up the gully.
If you are into the outdoors, Rai Valley is renown for trout fishing, pig hunting and is a gateway to the Marlborough Sounds with Okiwi Bay just 40 minutes drive away.
